Distraught Taylor Hall opens up on latest trade rumours sending him out of Chicago for very cheap!

The veteran forward had hopes and right now, they’re being crushed… See what he had to say down below:

Chris Gosselin

Forward Taylor Hall may be struggling this season in Chicago, he still remains fourth on the team in scoring. And of course, as the Blackhawks won’t be able to clinch a playoff spot this year again, rival teams might come calling to acquire his services. Which is not easy for Hall, who opened up to Ben Pope on Wednesday about the ongoing trade rumours. He told the reporter how he would be open to signing an extension but has “a feeling that’s not really in the cards.”

“I came into this year wanting to be a Blackhawk for years to come. I don’t know if that’s going to be the case anymore.”

This is just a sad reality for hockey players and this one is tough to read. Hall would like to see a future with the Hawks, though he might be on the move again.

The only thing that could keep teams away from Hall closer to the trade deadline is his $6 million cap hit, which is not going to be easy for most buyers to take on. Chicago could retain some salary and Hall might end up moving anyways…

Blackhawks insider Scott Powers of the Athletic recently revealed the very low asking price that could be linked to Hall:

“There’s a slight chance the Blackhawks can get a second-round pick for Hall, but most league sources I spoke to believed a third-round pick was more likely."

At that price, I too like Hall would feel like my time might be already up in Chicago… That is an extremely cheap price for a former first overall pick, and a Hart trophy winner.

I feel you Taylor.
