The Toronto Maple Leafs gathered for practice today at their training facility, but were soon without the services of goaltender Ilya Samsonov.
The Russian net minder would depart the practice session just minutes after it began:
Samsonov, who is in his second season with the Maple Leafs, has amassed a record of 4-1-3 but with a goals against average of 3.58 and save percentage of .878 and no shutouts.
The Leafs won't be in action until Thursday when they take on their Ontario and divisional rival Ottawa Senators on Thursday night at Canadian Tire Centre in the nation's capitol city. In all likelihood, it will be Joseph Woll getting the start in net for the visiting Leafs.
