DeBoer personally calls out Lehner with Vegas on the brink of elimination
One thing is clear: One of these two men won't be back next season.

Welcome to the latest episode of the ongoing soap opera known as The Vegas Golden Knights.
Knights goaltender Robin Lehner has been making headlines this week after he personally announced through the team that his season was over due to a necessary surgery. Then later that same day the team announced that Lehner's season was in fact NOT over and that he'd be backing up Logan Thompson the rest of the season. Then... guess what? Lehner backed Thompson up for one game and then had his surgery. In other words: He's done.
It's clear that Vegas head coach Peter DeBoer hasn't been happy with his starting goaltender's actions and he hasn't exactly hidden his feelings. DeBoer has made several underhanded statements that seemed to question Lehner's commitment to his team.
“We pay him to start games like this,” DeBoer said when asked whether Lehner would be available.
Well... we know that's not the case now.
So with Vegas' season hanging onto a thread and with a literal must win game tonight against the Dallas Stars DeBoer again made some pointed comments to Lehner claiming that he's not thinking of Lehner and that he's only "concerned about the guys that are here, battling with us here tonight.”
One thing's clear to me... one of these guys is gone this offseason. And with Marc Andre Fleury long-gone, you have to imagine that Vegas will hold onto Lehner as tightly as possible. Bye, bye Pete...
