David Perron returns to the Senators despite still dealing with heartbreaking personal issues
The veteran player comes back though there is still issues with his new baby girl.
Last month, Ottawa Senators veteran forward David Perron left the team for personal reasons when it was later revealed that he and his wife Vanesse were going through a very difficult pregnancy. At the time, all that was known was that Vanessa Perron had traveled to Toronto to undergo a procedure, seeing that their unborn daughter, Elizabeth Perron, was at serious risk during birth.
On Friday, Perron was back with the Senators and provided an update on his wife and daughter’s conditions at this time. The forward revealed that the baby had a mass on her lung that required surgery. Elizabeth first underwent the procedure invetro in August and then another right after she was born.
Per team insider Bruce Garrioch, Perron and his wife, Vanessa, have been back and forth to doctor’s appointments.
“We’re not fully out of the woods yet, but we’re getting there,” Perron said.
Perron, who has missed the team’s last 11 games, is now is back with the team full time and could play against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.
Perron is still waiting to record his first point at a Senator and has taken part in five game this season. He signed a two-year, $8 million deal to join Ottawa in the off-season.
We can only wish him great news from here when it comes to his lovely wife and daughter.
