David Pastrnak roasts the Maple Leafs after the All-Star Game.
Bruins forward David Pastrnak had some harsh words for 4 members of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
David Pastrnak has no chill today.
Not only did the Boston Bruins forward embarrass his fellow teammate Jeremy Swayman with a filthy move during the National Hockey League's All-Star Game on Saturday, but he saved a few shots for the Toronto Maple Leafs for after the festivities were all wrapped up as well.
Following the conclusion of the game, and a win by Team Matthews at the event, Pastrnak was asked about the fact that four members of the Toronto Maple Leafs had secured the win on Saturday. Pastrnak, who has for many years been a thorn in the side of the Maple Leafs alongside his fellow Bruins, used the opportunity to take a jab at his long time rivals from Toronto.
"Good for them," said Pastrnak as per the NHL's Dan Rosen. "They needed some wins. They got one."
Pastrnak was smiling when he made the comments but there's no question that the fire of the Bruins-Leafs rivalry still burns hot for players on both sides of the equation. It may even be the case that Pastrnak had been hoping to play spoiler for the 4 All-Star Maple Leafs, Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly, on their home ice today.
