Current NHL Playoff matchups released if regular season ended today

Where does your team stack up?

The National Hockey League decided to pause operations thanks to an uptick in COVID-19 positive cases. Right now, all teams are shut down through at least the conclusion of the League's holiday break, which is December 26.

But of course, we all like to have a little fun with figuring out premature playoff matchups if the annual postseason was to begin when hockey returned.

Take a look at the current matchups if we were gearing up for the Stanley Cup Playoffs:

Atlantic Division:

A1 Tampa Bay Lightning vs. WC1 Detroit Red Wings

A2 Toronto Maple Leafs vs. A3 Florida Panthers

Metropolitan Division

M1 Carolina Hurricanes vs. WC1 Pittsburgh Penguins

M2 Washington Capitals vs. M3 New York Rangers

Central Division

C1 Minnesota Wild vs. WC2 Edmonton Oilers

C2 Nashville Predators vs. C3 St. Louis Blues

Pacific Division

P1 Vegas Golden Knights vs. WC1 Colorado Avalanche

P2 Anaheim Ducks vs. P3 Calgary Flames
