The Toronto Maple Leafs got a productive season out of forward Calle Jarnkrok last year, who was lured from the Calgary Flames by former general manager Kyle Dubas. In 73 games played, he scored 20 goals with 19 assists and is hoping for more in this upcoming campaign.
However, he's been absent from preseason action as well as practices with no real explanation as to why. But now, the wincing reason has been announced. According to Jarnkrok, he twisted his neck. Via Leafs reporter Mark Masters:
"Leafs' Calle Jarnkrok reveals he twisted his neck in practice, which is why he's been out
Felt good today & hoping to get into at least one pre-season game"
Seeing the words "twisted neck" almost makes you shudder! Thankfully, the injury to Jarnkrok wasn't worse and it sounds like he's on the verge of a return. What kind of production would you like to see from him in his second year with the Maple Leafs?
