The Toronto Maple Leafs will unveil their new look lineup for the first time on Saturday night when they face off against a new look Colorado Avalanche after both teams made significant moves ahead of the National Hockey League's trade deadline.

The Maple Leafs made a pair of significant acquisitions on Friday adding both forward Scott Laughton and defenseman Brandon Carlo in a pair of trades with the Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins, and we now know how head coach Craig Berube intends to deploy his two new weapons.

Berube spoke with members of the media on Saturday to discuss his new lineup and, given that the Maple Leafs did not have a morning skate following the trade deadline, it was the first hint of what the new look Maple Leafs will look like moving forward.

Berube began by laying out his plans for Laughton, indicating that the former Flyers forward would be centering a line with Max Domi and Bobby McMann, which unfortunately for Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok means that he will be watching from the sidelines this evening. Jarnkrok is only just returning from an extensive injury layoff but unfortunately it seems the moves from Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving have left Jarnkrok as the odd man out, at least for the time being.

Last but not least, Berube indicated that Carlo would be pairing up with the Maple Leafs top defenseman in Morgan Rielly, likely in the hopes of finally establishing a stable top pairing partner for Rielly moving forward. It certainly will be interesting to see the long time rivals as they now work together towards a common goal.
