Corey Perry gives Connor Bedard a rough time for practicing too hard
He almost missed the team bus!

Look, I get it... we're only one week into the NHL regular season and it's been 'Connor Bedard Watch' 24/7.
Tabbed as the NHL's next big superstar, there's been plenty of attention from fans and media given to Bedard this past week, but I don't expect that to die down anytime soon. The fact of the matter is that the kid is the real deal. He's got one goal and three points in four games, he looks like a game changing young player and he's got the work ethic of a veteran 4th line grinder.
In fact, Bedard is somewhat notorious for his work ethic and his insistence on putting in the most ice-time of any of his teammates. Yesterday, Bedard refused to get off the ice following the team's practice which enabled the team's other rookies to join him for an extended session. The problem is that the boys lost track of time and were late for their team bus, which prompted Corey Perry to come out and rip the young guns for making the team wait.

Honestly... this is awesome.
And it's actually not the first time Bedard has been busted for doing something like this. He developed a bit of a reputation in junior with the Regina Pats of turning practices into prolonged 2 hour sessions where he and the team's youngest players would work on skating drills. The kid is an animal who simply doesn't want to get off the ice. He's mature beyond his years and he's blessed with oodles of skill. Look out, NHL because Bedard is the real deal.
