In case you missed it last night, Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid added to his hardware collection at the annual NHL Awards. McDavid won arguably the biggest three awards on the evening, taking home the Rocket Richard Trophy as the NHL's leading goal scorer, the Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's leading points scorer, the Hart Trophy as league MVP and the Ted Lindsay Award as league MVP chosen by the players.
The highlight of the night came when McDavid won the Hart Trophy and was surprised by members of the Stelter family when presented his award.
After the glitz and glamour of the event died down, McDavid spent time speaking with fans and reporters and outlining his offseason plans. One question though stood out amongst the crowd and it was about the NHL's recent decision to end 'special event' evenings where the NHL's teams wear warmup jerseys to help support causes like LGBTQ+ inclusion, Hockey Fights Cancer and Military Appreciation.
Specifically, McDavid said he doesn't agree with the NHL's decision to ban Pride Night warmup jerseys.

Honestly... kudos to McDavid for speaking his mind. He often comes across as robotic and without a thought in his mind, so it's at least nice to see that he does have the ability to form his own opinion.
