Connor Brown confirms he'll play for Team Canada at World Championships

This just in, Ottawa Senators forward Connor Brown has confirmed that Team Canada GM Roberto Luongo has reached out to him about participating in the 2021 IIHF World Championships and that he wants to join the team.

Interestingly enough, Luongo has gone on record saying that his version of team Canada will likely be much younger and inexperienced than previous teams. After all, most veteran Canadian NHLers have had a difficult season this year. Given COVID-19 restrictions and that veteran players have been separated from their families for most of the season, it seems like Luongo would have a difficult time convincing veterans anyways. So, he's decided to go younger and give some guys a chance on the world stage.
