Details are beginning to emerge regarding the injury Blackhawks starting goaltender Corey Crawford suffered earlier this week at a local concert. The Blackhawks originally called the injury an off-ice "lower body injury", but Crawford was interviewed today and revealed he suffered the injury at a Rise Against show.Coach Joel Quenneville said Crawford, will be out 2-3 weeks with the injury. Crawford wore a walking boot when he met the media today. Crawford said: "I was at a concert the other day and was on the way out and missed a step and I didn't think it was that bad," Crawford said. "I woke up the next day and it was worse than I thought. "I'm pretty embarrassed about it, frustrated." Crawford refused to give any more details about the incident, including whether alcohol was involved. Well one eye witness claims to have spoken to Crawford at the show. A commenter on a Deadspin article by Barry Petchesky says he talked to Crawford, who he says was “f***ing wasted.” I wonder how happy coach Quenneville will be once he hears why the Hawks' will be without their starting goalie for a nearly a month.
