On Monday night, the Washington Capitals dropped a rare 1-0 decision on home ice to the Vegas Golden Knights in a game that didn’t provide much for the hometown Caps fans to cheer for.
But we only feel bad for one of them. That’s Neal Bobys, a season-ticket holder, who was struck in the head by the game puck in the second period. The game was momentarily delayed as Bobys was tended to and rushed to the hospital.
Sports Anchor Olivia Garvey on 7News caught up with him as the lifelong fan showed off the scar left by the puck on his forehead.
“When I got hit with the puck, I heard wedding bells ringing,” Neal told Garvey. “Luckily, I did not lose consciousness, but I’m a little dizzy. I’m a little queasy, but that’s basically my symptoms from my concussion.”
This is what the wound looks like:

The funny thing is that Bobys has been a collector of pucks over the years. We bet this one is even more special.
