Are we witnessing a full on sell off in Vancouver now?

According to a report from Vancouver Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal and NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Canucks have made defenseman Carson Soucy available on the trade market.

The 30 year old Soucy is in year 2 of a 3 year deal that pays him $3.25 million per season.

Read below for our earlier report on Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes.

This just in, Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet has ruled captain Quinn Hughes out of tonight's game against the Colorado Avalanche. This is the second consecutive game that Hughes has been out of the lineup due to an undisclosed injury.

This is obviously brutal news for the Canucks as Hughes has been one of the most dominating players in the entire NHL this season.

The 25 year old Hughes has an incredible 14 goals and 59 points in 47 games.

With Hughes' injury unknown and his return to the lineup uncertain, fans and analysts are wondering if he'll be replaced in Team USA's lineup for the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off.

USA boasts a pretty deep defence corps, but Hughes is arguably their top defender. Charlie McAvoy, Adam Hox, Brock Faber, Noah Hanifin, Jaccob Slavin and Zach Werenski round out the team's blue line group. Jake Sanderson would be a worth addition if Hughes can't go, but you have to wonder if USA would actually look to Quinn's kid brother Luke Hughes to fill his spot?
