Canadiens make history with embarrassing record…
The last time this took place was way back in the 1939-40 season!

Carey Price was back in net on Thursday night, this time to face the Philadelphia Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens still couldn’t get him a win this season. The Habs were handed their seventh straight loss following a 6-3 loss to Philly. Price made 28 saves but the Canadiens (20-46-11) are still 0-3-0 since the star netminder returned from a long absence.
While that’s a sad record in itself, Laurie Couture-Dallaire pointed out another and more embarrassing record by the Canadiens. After last night’s defeat with Price in net, she revealed how the Canadiens will end the 2021-22 season with no goalkeeper having reached 10 wins. This is the first time this has happened since 1939-40, and back in those years, the seasons only held 48 games.
The last times this happened to an NHL team in the new 82-game campaign format was in 2010-11 to the New Islanders, who stole the humiliating record for the 2006-07 Flyers.
We can understand why the Canadiens are bragging about this one.
