Cameras catch Brad Marchand trash talking the Senators.

There's a common saying that suggests a leopard can't change it's spots, and now it would seem that may also be true when it comes to a Panther.

On Saturday the Florida Panthers took on the Ottawa Senators in what could be a preview of a potential playoff matchup between these two teams. As the game came to a close we certainly got a sense of that playoff atmosphere as tensions boiled up considerably and even resulted in some physical altercations in the final moments of the game.

It was another frustrating loss for the Florida Panthers who are quickly witnessing their hopes of winning the National Hockey League's Atlantic Division vanish into thin air, and perhaps nowhere was that frustration more evident than on the face and lips of veteran Panthers forward Brad Marchand.

Marchand built up a reputation for getting under the skin of his opponents during his time as a member of the Boston Bruins and it would seem that things will not be changing for Marchand who is now a member of the Florida Panthers. Marchand was even caught delivering a pretty harsh insult to someone off camera, presumably a member of the Ottawa Senators lienup.

"You fat f***" said Marchad getting caught on camera as he delivered the insult.

This was the last meeting of the regular season between the Panthers and the Senators so if anything more is to come of this rivalry this season it will have to happen in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
