The Boston Bruins lost forward Jakub Lauko during Sunday afternoon's game against the Carolina Hurricanes after he fell awkwardly into the boards; he did not return to action.
He wasn't spotted at practice this morning ahead of his team's game against the Nashville Predators tonight at TD Garden, though the good news is that he isn't expected to miss significant time.
“Nothing a 23-year-old won’t get over," head coach Jim Montgomery explained.
Meanwhile, returning to practice was veteran forward Nick Foligno, who has missed the last month of action after being injured during a late February game against the Calgary Flames.
“It’s just great to have him out there. He just brings so much energy and positive energy to the group always. You could see he was just excited to be back out there,” said Montgomery of Foligno. “It’s good that he’s starting to make progress toward being an option for us, which is good.”
Forward Taylor Hall also returned to practice, albeit wearing a red no-contact sweater.
