This just in, the Boston Bruins have hired Danielle Marmer as Player Development and Scouting Assistant. Marmer will work alongside former Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid in her new role.

Marmer spent the 2021-22 season as one of 12 members of the Boston Bruins Diversity and Inclusion Mentorship Program. This program partnered participants with a mentor in the Bruins Hockey Operations department and provided hands-on coaching and networking opportunities. While she'll continue to support others still in that program, her promotion won't allow her to be as involved moving forward.

Prior to her time with the Bruins, Marmer spent three years as Director of Player Development and Hockey Operations for Quinnipiac's women's ice hockey team. Marmer focused on game video, player development and day-to-day team operations. Before working with Quinnipiac, Marmer spent two years as an Assistant Coach for the Connecticut College women's ice hockey team. During her time there, she helped lead the team to a second-place finish in the NESCAC, along with a program record of 15 wins.

She's a Dorset, Vermont native and a star forward in the NCAA for Quinnipiac from 2013 until 2017. She won the 2015-16 ECAC Championship after the Quinnipiac Bobcats put up an incredible 30-3-5 regular season.
