Not the best of updates.

The Boston Bruins have already set numerous records this season thanks to their unbelievably white hot start that saw them quickly climb to the top of the National Hockey League standings with the next closest team barely visible in their rear view mirror.

However, things haven't gone quite as smoothly for the Bruins, as they've dropped three straight games for the first time this campaign. They're still easily in 1st place in the Eastern Conference and the NHL as a whole, but they're certainly going through a bit of adversity right now. Hey, nobody thought that 70 wins was actually possible, did they?

And before Boston's final game before the All-Star break, they've announced a negative injury update. Forward Vinni Lettieri will not be accompanying his teammates to Toronto for tomorrow's matchup against the Original 6 and Atlantic Division rival Toronto Maple Leafs; the reason being that he suffered a lower body injury during practice.

Lettieri was brought up from the American Hockey League affiliate Providence Bruins along with Jakub Lauko; in a corresponding move, they sent both Marc McLaughlin and Joona Koppanen down.

He's tallied 16 goals and 37 points so far in 41 games played with Providence. He also has been tabbed for the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic in Quebec.

Tomorrow's game between the Bruins and Leafs will officially begin just after 7:30 PM EST. Here's hoping that the B's can break their three-game skid and get back into the win column before getting some much-needed rest time.
