The Los Angeles Kings are locking up a key roster player that also happens to be a local boy.
The Kings and forward Trevor Moore have agreed to a five year contract extension, keeping the Thousand Oaks native in his hometown through the 2027-28 NHL season. His new deal carries an AAV of $4,200,000:
Moore was an original draft selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but was acquired by the Kings along with pair of third-round draft picks in the February 2020 trade that sent forward Kyle Clifford and goaltender Jack Campbell to Toronto.
In 236 career NHL games, Moore has scored 42 goals with 65 assists.
