You know notorious Boston Bruins agitator Brad Marchand could not have been happy about this one.

Marchand has earned a reputation for his ability to get under the skin of his opponents and that is exactly what he was trying to do at the end of the first period of Sunday night's matchup between the Las Vegas Golden Knights and Boston Bruins.

Marchand appeared to either attempt a hit on Golden Knights Knights defenseman Zachary Whitecloud after the whistle had blown, or merely meant to feint as though he was going to do so. Either way Whitecloud took the bait and quickly attempted to hop out of the way of the smaller Marchand, resulting in an awkward collision between the two men.

The slow motion replay showed something that you would more typically expect to see in a WWE ring than on a hockey rink, with Whitecloud seemingly delivering a 'clothesline' to Marchand as the Bruins forward missed his body check.

Marchand was not too happy about it, but no call was made on the play and all parties involved were sent back to their respective locker rooms.
