Brad Marchand drops the gloves in 1,000th game!

Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand appeared in his 1,000th NHL game this afternoon, prior to which he was honored for reaching the milestone of a hockey career that has included a Stanley Cup victory and several personal accolades. 

And he commemorated the occasion by bringing the sold out crowd at TD Garden to its feet by dropping the gloves against Dallas Stars defenseman Joel Hanley late in the 1st period of play:
