Brad Marchand chimes in on the Zegras/Stecher controversy.
Marchand doesn't seem too happy.
The National Hockey League was beset by quite the controversy over the weekend when Anaheim Ducks star forward Trevor Zegras was accused of making inappropriate comments about the deceased father of Arizona Coyotes defenseman Troy Stecher.
Both the Coyotes and Zegras have since issued public statements that appear to clear the air regarding those accusations, although the Coyotes did go on to condemn what they describe as very inappropriate comments from the Ducks star.
The Coyotes didn't issue a public statement on the matter but rather it was Arizona Coyotes insider Craig Morgan that would publish their response to the matter, something that did not appear to sit well with Boston Bruins agitator Brad Marchand.
Marchand is of course no stranger to trash talk and has done his fair share of it throughout his NHL career, but it is unclear why he took issue with Morgan's comments. It may have been that Marchand felt Morgan was crossing a line by reporting on what players had said on the ice, although no one but Marchand likely knows his true motivations.
"Shut your pie hole Craig," said Marchand in response to Morgan's report.
It was a surprising statement if only due to the fact that Marchand is very seldomly spotted making comments through his Twitter, but it isn't one that Morgan seems too bothered by given that he didn't even dignify it with a response.
