Brad Marchand accidentally slaps the linesman!
Well, that's a new one for Marchand!

He's known as arguably the biggest pest in the NHL whom just about everyone loathes playing against, but it's no secret that just about any team would gladly take him onto their squad in a heartbeat if possible. Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has made a career of getting under the skin of opponents, and even taking things too far at times, having earned a number of fines and suspensions.
However, his latest actions on the ice appear to have been a complete accident, though on the surface of it, it didn't look the best. During a scrum in yesterday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena, Marchand tried to take a swipe at a Hurricanes player, but accidentally caught the linesman's face with his glove instead:
Hey, at least it was his glove and not his tongue!
Marchand, who missed the first several games of this year's schedule after recovering from offseason surgery, has scored 16 goals with 30 assists; he's currently on pace for 75 points on the year.
Last season, Marchand topped a player poll of who his peers dislike playing against the most. Rounding out that list was Washington Capitals pest/bully Tom Wilson, Edmonton Oilers superstar captain Connor McDavid, flashy Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon, and Tampa Bay Lightning stalwart defenseman Victor Hedman.
