The Detroit Red Wings have plenty of former St. Louis Blues players on their roster, including the likes of David Perron, Jake Walman, Ville Husso, and Robby Fabbri. Of course, they also featured Oskar Sundqvist until the trade earlier this month that sent him to the Minnesota Wild.
The Red Wings are in St. Louis tonight at Enterprise Center in what is the first game back in opposition colors for Perron, Walman and Husso. And during the 1st period, the Blues paused to give Perron a video tribute that of course included highlights of his run with the team to the Stanley Cup four years ago.
And Perron himself was clearly moved by the gesture, as there were tears in his eyes as he and the rest of his teammates watched the tribute on the big screen.
