Auston Matthews taunts fans in Boston after incredible goal.
Matthews gives the crowd a piece of his mind.
Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Auston Matthews did his part to stoke the flames of the rivalry between his Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins.
The Bruins and the Maple Leafs played a very exciting game on Saturday night in what was a battle of the Atlantic Division's top two teams. The game was back and forth throughout with both teams holding the lead at different points in the game but with there never being more than a single goal of difference between these two teams.
Matthews' moment would come during the third period when, with his Leafs down a goal, he would tie the game up off the back of a terrific individual effort.
Matthews would begin by clearing the puck down the ice by batting it in mid air, and would proceed to skate all the way down the ice before putting a beautiful move on Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark to tie the game at 3 goals a piece. Matthews would even give the fans at TD Garden a piece of his mind following the goal, celebrating the goal in front of the Bruins faithful with his arms outstretched wide.
Unfortunately for Matthews it wouldn't prove to be enough, with the Bruins retaking their one goal lead shortly after the fact and taking the game by a final score of 4-3.
