This just in, veteran Boston Bruins defenseman Anton Stralman has cleared waivers and can now be assigned to the Bruins' AHL affiliate Providence Bruins.

Additionally, the Chicago Blackhawks have placed minor league forward Jakub Pour on waivers for the purposes of contract termination.

The 23 year old forward has played 15 goals with the Indy Fuel of the ECHL after a pretty lacklustre season in 2021-22 campaign with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs. It's expected that Pour is seeking a return to the Czech Extraliga where he played four seasons with Plzen HC. For this reason, I don't suspect that he'll be picked up by another team.
As for Stralman, this appears to be the end of the road for the 36 year old blueliner. He has appeared in just eight games for the Bruins this season, following a pretty stellar campaign for the Arizona Coyotes last season in which he put up eight goals and 23 points in 74 games. He hasn't played a game in the AHL since the 2008-09 season when he was in the Toronto Maple Leafs' system. I can't imagine that he's too excited about heading to the AHL at 36 years old, so I'd imagine that this is the end of the road for him. If that's indeed the case he'll end his NHL career with 63 goals and 293 points in 938 career games split between the Leafs, Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, Coyotes and Bruins. Still, despite spending five seasons with the Lightning he was NOT a member of the team's Stanley Cup championships in 2020 and 2021. He did, however, help guide the team to a Stanley Cup Final berth in 2015, ultimately losing to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Again, if this is indeed the end of Stralman's career, he should have no regrets. He was a tough as nails, reliable defensive defenseman for over a decade in the NHL and helped transform the Lightning into a powerhouse franchise in the mid-2010s.
