Everyone in the building on Saturday night came to see Alex Ovechkin score goal #801, which would tie the legendary Gordie Howe for second most goals all time in the National Hockey League, but during the game's second period Ovechkin put on a show of a different kind.

After getting a few chances to score #801 and walking away frustrated from those chances, Ovechkin took his frustration out on Maple Leafs defenseman Conor Timmins. Timmins was moving the puck up the neutral zone when Ovechkin caught him in the open ice and delivered a thunderous body check.

The force of the blow was enough to send Timmins over the boards and back onto the bench which brought a huge roar from the crowd at Capital One Arena, as you would expect.
