Adin Hill leaves fans confused during Stanley Cup parade.
A curious comment from goaltender Adin Hill has some thinking the Golden Knights goalie may have been out of it.
The Las Vegas Golden Knights are in the full swing of their Stanley Cup celebration and over the weekend that meant that the Golden Knights held a celebratory parade for both their players as well as their fans.
It was a wild and raucous celebration that was very likely capped off by an epic speech from a completely hammered William Karlsson, but early in the day it would be goaltender Adin Hill that would draw some attention with his comments.
Hill was interviewed during the celebration and he made what appeared to many to be something of a bizarre comment, especially with the added context of a beer in his hands.
"It's pretty wild I don't know... I don't know what to do with my hands right now," said Hill.
Given the context of the celebration as well as the beverage that Hill was holding, you could forgive fans for thinking that the Golden Knights goalie might be a little intoxicated. That may however have not been the case at all, with the comments seeming awfully familiar to a famous scene featuring comedian Will Farrell.
In the movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby Will Farrell's character makes a very similar comment after he pulls off an improbable feat as a massive underdog, much like Hill did this season by winning the Stanley Cup with the Golden Knights.
Here's the clip in question:
I'll let you be the judges. Was Adin Hill merely confused and perhaps a little intoxicated? Or was this actually a very poignant tip of the hat to another underdog story?
