1st overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky's first NHL goal is an absolute beauty!
And what a celly! Taunts his opponent!

The Montreal Canadiens are absolutely beating the wheels off the Arizona Coyotes this evening.
That domination includes both with and without the gloves on evidently as well, as Habs rookie Arber Xhekaj absolutely rag-dolled Coyotes veteran Zack Kassian in an extremely one sided scrap.
Check it out:
Wow! Now THAT'S a scrap!
If you're not familiar with Xhekaj, just know that he's an absolute BEAUTY. The 21 year old free agent signing cracked the Habs' roster in training camp this pre-season and has not looked out of place for a moment in the team's first four regular season games. The best part? Just a calendar year ago he was working part-time stocking shelves at Costco, not knowing if he'd ever be able to live out his NHL dreams. Now he's playing for the Montreal Canadiens and beating the wheels off of veterans at center ice of the Bell Centre. Pretty wild stuff.
And if that weren't enough for Habs fans to celebrate this evening, how about the first NHL goal from 1st overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky?
Check out this absolute snipe by the man they call Slaffy Taffy and then check him taunting a Coyotes defender with his goal celebration:
Am I... am I becoming a Habs fan?
This team is an absolute treat to watch since Martin St. Louis took over as bench boss. Go figure that a player who was universally loved and who everyone loved to cheer for ends up leading a team that everyone loves to watch and seemingly everyone is beginning to love cheering for.
The Habs are still nowhere near Stanley Cup contenders but with a young core of guys like Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky, they've got some serious core pieces moving forward. Add in quality veterans like Brendan Gallagher and you can seem them starting to gel and find their mojo a bit. It probably doesn't hurt that they have a coach who can get the most out of his players and who can motivate them to run through a brick wall.
