Matthew Gaudreau's wife makes heartbreaking announcement.
A heartbreaking announcement from the widow of Matthew Gaudreau shared on Sunday.
It has already been 4 months since the hockey world and the Gaudreau family was left shocked at the sudden and tragic passing of brothers Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau after both young men were struck by a driver suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and unfortunately the tragedy of their loss continues to unfold.
On Sunday Madeline Gaudreau, the wife of Matthew Gaudreau, made a heartbreaking announcement when she took to social media to reveal that the couple's child had been born. While this is no doubt in many ways a happy announcement for both Madeline and the Gaudreau family as well, it has to be heart wrenching to know that baby Tripp Matthew Gaudreau will never get to meet his father because of the careless actions of another man.
In her announcement Madeline shared a message alongside a picture of baby Tripp's beautiful little hand.
"Mommy & Daddy’s world," wrote Madeline on Instagram.
I do take great solace in the fact that Madeline will have an incredible support group surrounding her with the entire Gaudreau family there to lend a hand. Additionally the hockey community, including several teams around the National Hockey League such as the Philadelphia Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets, have been rallying around the family and giving them their support and will no doubt continue to do so moving forward.
Additionally Madeline will now get to keep a piece of her husband close to her heart forever in spite of the fact that the terrible actions of one man have stolen her husband from her far, far, too soon.
Madeline has also been receiving a great deal of support from fans on social media who have poured in with their kind and loving comments for both her and baby Tripp and I would encourage all of you reading this to do the same. I sincerely hope that both mother and child have as bright a future as possible under the difficult circumstances.
