It’s been a busy offseason in the NHL when it comes to professional try-out contracts and no other team has been busier than the Arizona Coyotes on that regard.
On Wednesday, the Coyotes announced a flurry of professional tryout agreements. Amongst the newly added players on PTOs are first-round pick Olli Juolevi, Ryan Dzingel, Austin Strand and Peter DiLiberatore. They have also offered PTO contracts to Hunter Drew, Patrick Harper, Cameron Hebig, Micah Miller, Austin Poganski, Colin Theisen and Reece Vitelli.
It total, eleven players were added to Arizona’s training camp thanks to a chance on a professional try-out agreement:
Amongst those players giving a chance in the desert, there is Diliberatore, a 23-year-old defenseman who could have a real shot at contributing to the Coyotes’ blue line. Dzingel could also crack the roster as a versatile forward capable of playing multiple positions.
These players will join the Coyotes’ training camp with the hope of demonstrating their potential contributions to the team, which could lead to some of them earning a standard player deal for the upcoming season.
