Zamboni bursts into flames, driver finishes his job

Check out these crazy videos from a Rochester ice rink where a Zamboni literally burst into flames while the driver was flooding a fresh sheet.

I've been around hockey rinks my entire life and I've seen a lot in my time. I can honestly say that this is the only time I've ever seen or heard of a Zamboni bursting into flames. Aren't these things electric these days? How much heat can a Zamboni engine put out? Well according to Rochester's WHAM News, a hose on the Zamboni burst causing fluid to leak directly onto the motor. On second look you can see red coolant spilling out from under the vehicle and onto the ice. Ugly stuff.

Thankfully the driver was not harmed. Incredible. 

The facility was evacuated by Rochester firefighters and the blaze was put out with minimal damage done to the facility. Suffice it to say though that this Zamboni driver deserves a medal. 

Insane. Absolutely insane.
