It looks as though NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal has been getting into hockey of late, and has even taken on the nickname of "Shaq Hyman", a cool nod to Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman.
And being the nice guy he is, Hyman had a signed jersey delivered right to Shaq himself during last night's broadcast of the "NBA on TNT".
“To Shaq, Thanks for all the support!” Hyman wrote on the jersey.
“Zach, I love you brother,” O’Neal said as he held up the sweater with a smile.
How exactly did the nickname begin? Allow Sheldon Keefe to explain:
"When I was with the Marlies, we called him Shaq Hyman, because he got to the paint better than anybody," explained Keefe, who was the head coach of the AHL's Toronto Marlies where Hyman played before making the leap to the NHL.
