Wild confirm the worst for captain Jared Spurgeon

UPDATE: The just in, the Minnesota Wild have announced that captain Jared Spurgeon is out week-to-week after suffering a lower body from a brutal slew-foot by Nashville Predators forward Zach L'Heureux.


Just hours before the Wild's announcement, NHL Player Safety announced a 3 game suspension for L'Heureux.

This just in, Nashville Predators forward Zach L'Heureux has been suspended 3 games from NHL Player Safety for slew-footing Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon.

A very dangerous play that honestly I feel should have warranted a stiffer suspension. But, this is L'Heureux's first NHL suspension so they may have gone easy on him for that fact.
