Wild announce 10 training camp roster cuts on Sunday.

The Minnesota Wild have announced a large number of cuts to their training camp roster on Sunday.

The Wild have cut their roster down to just 31 players, meaning that 10 players have been informed that their National Hockey League training camp has come to an end with most of those players likely to report to the Wild's American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Wild.

A number of Wild prospects have been assigned to Iowa including forward Adam Beckman, defenseman Carson Lambos, and defenseman Ryan O'Rourke. The Wild are also hoping to do the same with forwards Steven Fogarty, Jake Lucchini and Nick Swaney as well as goaltender Zane McIntyre but all 4 of those men will have to pass through the waiver process before they can be sent down to the AHL. That means that opposing teams will have a 24 hour window in which they can submit a claim for those players.

The Wild also released a pair of players from professional tryout offers, those being former Montreal Canadiens forward Joel Teasdale as well as forward Mike O'Leary. Both men are expected to report to the Iowa Wild following their releases from their PTOs.
