Viral video exposes David Pastrnak’s growing frustration this season

It hasn’t been easy for the Bruins and fans are feeling for the star forward. Watch below:

The Boston Bruins looked helpless on Thursday night as they dropped their 10th straight game, falling 4-1 to the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Center. This is the first 10-game losing streak by the Bruins since the 2009-10 season. Boston currently has a 69 points with six games to play, which is fourth-worst in the NHL.

I bet everyone in the dressing room is unhappy, but most fans are thinking of star forward David Pastrnak. The superstar is left in a retooling club with little hope to emerge as a contender in the near future. The Bruins basically underwent a fire sale at the trade deadline, sending Brandon Carlo to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Charlie Coyle to the Colorado Avalanche, Justin Brazeau to the Minnesota Wild, and Trent Frederic to the Edmonton Oilers, and captain Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers. On top of that, the Bruins have been without their star defenseman, Charlie McAvoy, who hasn’t played since February 8th and aggravated a shoulder injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off.

Pastrnak probably feels quite lonely in Boston and on Thursday night as video of him went viral on social media.

After getting into it with Habs forward Juraj Slafkovsky, who had dropped his stick in between the benches, Pasta picked it up and brought it into the Bruins’ bench.

Just to piss Slaf off…

It is quite easy to tell that Pastrnak has had it this season and is willing to stoop down to petty theft during a game.

I mean I completely understand his frustration. I probably would have done worse to be honest.

The Bruins will miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 NHL season. I’m sure that’s not what Pastrnak would have predicted when he signed an eight-year contract extension that will pay him $90 million in March 2023, locking him up through the 2030-31 season.
