Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jake Walman is skating in his first full season with the team after being acquired at last year's Trade Deadline along with Oskar Sundqvist from the St. Louis Blues in the deal that sent Nick Leddy to the WHow Me State.

And he'll forever be on Red Wings highlights after his infamous "Griddy" dance celebration after potting the 5th and overtime winning goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins in late December.

The Red Wings may unfortunately have to add him to their already extensive injury list that they've featured this season, however. He took a solid bodycheck during tonight's game against the Calgary Flames at Little Caesars Arena from Nikita Zadorov, and was visibly shaken up. He remained on the ice in pain for several moments before being attended to by team trainer Piet Van Zandt, and needed assistance to make his way to the dressing room.

It certainly appeared to be a clean hit, and there wasn't any contact with Walman's head. We're hoping that this is simply a case of the wind being knocked out of him, and that he'll be able to return.
