Two Maple Leafs fans get brutally attacked at Flyers’ game in viral video!
A dangerous Flyers’ fan was caught on video brutally punching two men in Auston Matthews jerseys. Watch below:
Can someone please remind me why Philadelphia is known as the City of Brotherly Love?! It certainly was not the case for two Toronto Maple Leafs’ fans on Tuesday night as a viral video exposed what the two men endured during the Flyers’ game.
In a video posted to social media from Tuesday night’s game, three Maple Leafs fans – two men and one woman - appeared to be waving to some friends while standing in front of the glass. The play is in stoppage and so they aren’t bothering anyone, expect this one intense Flyers’ fan who is now trending for the wrong reasons.
The Flyers fan might have been thinking that the Leafs’ supporters were taunting the home team, but that does not excuse what he did next. He hopped over several rows of seats to confront the visiting fans and ended up punching the two male fans before their female friend eventually tried to break things up.
Wearing a black T-shirt, a black Philadelphia Eagles hat and glasses, the attacker landed several punches to the heads of both men before he stopped his assault and went back up the stairs like nothing happened.
No one seems to be know what led to the altercation and unfortunately for the victims, Wells Fargo Center security is nowhere to be seen.
The video does not let us know at what point in the night the brawl in the stands took place, though we know the final results for the Leafs and Flyers: Philadelphia ended up blowing two leads before falling 3-2 to Toronto.
