Talk about a rough start to one's morning.
Former Carolina Hurricanes and Toronto Maple Leafs forward Jeff O'Neill, who now works as broadcaster and on-air personality for TSN, was apparently victimized by having his truck stolen. He announced the news on his social media account, along with a good-natured requested to whomever committed the deed - he'd at least like the golf clubs that were in the truck back.
"Whoever stole my truck last night , please bring my golf clubs back," he wrote on Twitter.
As you may remember, it wasn't long ago that current Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner had his car stolen at gunpoint just minutes away from Toronto's practice facility.
Originally drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 1994 NHL Draft, O'Neill would suit up for the Whalers and Carolina Hurricanes along with the Leafs. He tallied a total of 237 goals and 496 point in 821 career NHL games.
