Trent Frederic mic'd up as he pummels Andreas Englund.
The Boston Bruins forward hammered Los angeles Kings defenseman Andres Englund and was mic'd up while he did it.
The Boston Bruins clashed with the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night and during the course of that game fans were treated to a very spirited scrap between Bruins forward Trent Frederic and Los Angeles Kings defenseman Andreas Englund.
Although both men showed tremendous courage in facing off against one another, you would be hard pressed to argue that Frederic didn't get the better of his opponent after he landed some devastating shots to the head and face of Englund whose helmet became dislodged during the exchange.
The best part is that the Boston Bruins had Frederic mic'd up during the whole thing, and it sounds like he had a great time. Not only did Frederic warn Englund prior to the scrap that he would be fighting him if he wanted a piece of anyone on the Bruins roster, but he seemed genuinely pumped up about the result of the fight when the officials stepped in to save Englund from more damage.
This kind of enthusiasm for combat makes Frederic seem all that much more fearsome of an opponent, and he was already doing a pretty good job of that with his fists alone.
