Toronto's John Klingberg states the obvious of time with Ducks
He was briefly with one of the NHL's worst franchises last season.

There's a new Swede in town for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as defenseman John Klingberg has agreed to join the team on a one-year contract worth $4.15 million.
Klingberg is the newest face in town courtesy of new Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving, who has also signed Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi to new contracts. The Swedish defenseman is coming off a season in which he split his time between the Anaheim Ducks and Minnesota Wild; he signed with the Ducks last offseason, though he would admit that his time there wasn't what he thought it would be.
The Ducks trudged through what was a miserable season, finishing last in the Pacific Division with a record of 23-47-12. Klingberg, who was on a one-year contract, was traded to Minnesota at the Deadline. Following their 1st round postseason exit, he once again became a free agent, and decided to move north of the border by joining the Leafs.
"Personally, for me, I expected it to go probably a little bit smoother than it did," he said. "And for that, I think I learned a lot."
"You gain experience from it. Obviously, I'm not gonna lie. It was a tough year last year, playing eight years in the same spot and then coming in on a one-year deal to a team, and both myself and the team was struggling."
What kind of year will Klingberg have with the Leafs, and will it be better than last season?
