The Toronto Maples Leafs organization conducted some minor league business on Saturday, signing a pair of players for the upcoming 2024-25 American Hockey League season.

The news was first reported by AHL reporter Tony Androckitis, with Androckitis sharing the news regarding both signings.

Androckitis first reported the signing of defenseman Matteo Pietroniro who was with the Marlies last season. Pietroniro appeared in 40 AHL games for the Marlies last season, scoring 2 goals and adding 7 assists for a total of 9 points. He finished the season with a plus minus rating of +4 and 66 penalty minues to his name.

After signing former Kelly Cup winner Zach Solow two years ago the Marlies will once again be bringing him back for another season. Solow got by far the most AHL experience he's had in a single season last year, appearing in 66 games and scoring 11 goals and adding 15 assists for a total of 26 points. That represented a significant jump up from the previous season in which he appeared in just 23 games.

Neither of these signings is likely to have much impact on the Maple Leafs at the NHL level.
