Which players were the most in demand during the 2024-25 National Hockey League season?

Hockey fans all have a favorite player or players that they love to watch and fans will often debate about whether or not their favorite player is as good or better than a rival fans favorite player, but which players truly are the most popular in the National Hockey League?

It can be a difficult metric to gauge with so many different factors involved, but one of the factors that we can use to easily point to player popularity are jerseys sales. Thankfully, the NHL's apparel partner Fnatics has given us a glimpse into the most popular NHL players this season with a list of the top 5 best selling jerseys in the league from the past year.

Unsurprisingly the NHL's newest phenom, Chicago Blackhawks star rookie Connor Bedard, tops the list this year after being the first overall pick in the NHL draft in 2023, but some of the other names may come as a bit more of a surprise. The NHL's young guns are beginning to make waves here as another youngster comes in second with Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils claiming that spot.

It is important to note however that even here outside factors can play a big role, for example everyone on this list with the exception of Connor Bedard and Auston Matthews participated in an outdoor game this season, something that could have significantly boosted a players jersey sales and may very well have impacted that player's position on the list, or that player making the list at all.
