With the National Hockey League Trade Deadline right around the corner, there are multiple teams who are jockeying for position in the standings and will be looking to make key additions to their rosters to supplement a potential deep postseason run. We've already seen two major deals go through, with Bo Horvat and Vladimir Tarasenko both being dealt from their respective teams.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Red Wings will have to go on a considerable winning streak in order to challenge for a Wild Card postseason spot. While it's not impossible, their inability to string together a four, five or six game this season has given fans considerable pause on the possibility of that happening.

There's also the matter of the fact that they have two high profile pending unrestricted free agents in forwards Dylan Larkin and Tyler Bertuzzi. And if the latest report is any indication, it's a real possibility that the latter could in fact be traded as the Deadline approaches.

According to Jeff Marek of Sportsnet, there are at least three teams who have expressed interest in acquiring Bertuzzi, including a Detroit divisional rival as well as two former Detroit executives. The teams he listed are the Dallas Stars, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Edmonton Oilers:

The Stars are led by general manager Jim Nill, while the Oilers are led by Ken Holland - both former longtime Red Wings executives.

Bertuzzi has had anything but an ideal season for the Red Wings, who were banking on him replicating (or at least coming close to) his performance from last year in which he reached the 30 goal mark for the 1st time in his career. Bertuzzi blocked a shot in the second game of the schedule, breaking his hand and subsequently missing six weeks. It wouldn't be long before his return that he would break his other hand (once again, blocking a shot) and once again missing several weeks of action.

And unfortunately, he's only tallied two goals in the 20 games that he's appeared in.

Will GM Steve Yzerman ultimately make the choice to move Bertuzzi out of town, or could a new contract be in store?
