Fans quickly noticed how the American team had left off Montreal Canadiens’ Cole Caufield and Buffalo Sabres’ Tage Thompson. No other American-born player has scored more than Caufield yet this season. As for Thompson, I mean, who wouldn't want a 6-foot-6 center who has scored 13 goals this season on board?
Other snubs up front include future Hall of Famer Patrick Kane , Alex DeBrincat , Jason Robertson , Clayton Keller and Brock Boeser.
On the back end, fans quickly noticed that Washington’s John Carlsson was missing - and no Capitals made any of the roster for the tournament. There is also Jets’ Neal Pionk, who is having a great season, but was snubbed.
Is this roster the one to win it all?
