Sudden development in Gabriel Landeskog’s NHL future!

Check out what’s happening in Colorado with the latest update on captain Landeskog:

Chris Gosselin

Avalanche star forward Gabriel Landeskog has not played since Colorado won the Stanley Cup in 2022, missing two full seasons while recovering from a severe knee injury that required cartilage transplant in May 2023. Rumours have since swirled on what the future may look like for Landeskog and on Tuesday, one fan insinuated he should retire in a post on social media, and the Avalanche’s captain was not going to let that comment slide.

Landeskog defiantly responded to the fan that posted, “Time to retire, Landy!” to with the superstar replied, “Is it though?”

Sudden development in Gabriel Landeskog’s NHL future!

It sounds like developments are positive that Landeskog could return at some point in the 2024-25 season, which would come as great news for the Avalanche. It’s been said that the question in Colorado when it comes to Landeskog’s return its not a matter of if, but when.

The message is clear, Landeskog is not done yet and the fact that he’s taken the time to send a message to fans on social media sure makes it sounds like a comeback could be in the cards sooner rather than later.

The Avalanche hasn’t had the expected start to the 2024-25 campaign most fans had in mind, starting the season with four straight losses. The team is also missing stars such as Valeri Nichushkin, Arturri Lehkonen and Devon Toews, on top of the long absence of Landeskog. It feels like things might take a positive turn once the roster gets back to better shape, and it could include the return of Landeskog.

Because it sure sounds like he is itching to get back on the ice and is not ready to walk away from the game just yet.
