Strong words from Zach Hyman after scoring 50 goals.
Zach Hyman had some powerful words to share after he did what many thought to be impossible.
The Edmonton Oilers didn't get the result they wanted on Sunday night, but that will likely do little to diminish the incredible night it was for Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman.
Hyman, a former 5th round draft pick (123rd overall) of the Florida Panthers at the 2010 draft has done what many believed would be impossible for him to achieve, becoming one of only one-hundred players in National Hockey League history to score 50 goals in a single season.
Hyman did it by working hard and never giving up on himself, playing 4 seasons with the University of Michigan before making his was through the American Hockey League with the Toronto Marlies and eventually breaking into the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Following his incredible milestone this evening, Hyman had some powerful words to share about his journey to 50 goals in the NHL.
"I think if you do good things everyday good things are going to happen," said Hyman. "Hockey and life is a rollercoaster, there's up and downs, but if you stick with it and always are positive things tend to go your way. So just work hard and I hope that's a good lesson for all the kids out there who aren't the best but are just out there working hard."
It certainly seems to be working for Hyman who by all accounts appears to practice what he preaches.
