Special request from Patrik Laine’s gorgeous fiancée to Habs fans!
Jordan Leigh has taken social media by storm and now needs your help:
Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine is getting ready to start the 2024-25 season with his new team. He has been training quite hard ahead of the Habs’ training camp following his trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets along with a 2026 second-round pick in return for Jordan Harris.
While Laine is focused on getting ready for action on the ice, his fiancee, Jordan Leigh, has turned to social media to seek advice from Habs’ fans ahead of the couple’s move to Montreal.
“What do I need to know before moving to Montreal? And also, if anyone knows a French teacher, please send me their contact details,” Leigh posted on her personal account.
As soon as Leigh asked for advice, fans were eager to provide helpful tips and their positive experience of the city. Among the answers, fans were especially giving high praise to the poutine, which Leigh humorously acknowledged in a follow-up post.
“I don’t know what poutine is, but it looks like I’m absolutely about to find out. Thanks for the love, everyone! I’m taking note!,” Leigh wrote .
Fans did not disappoint her with their responses and now Leigh and Laine are prepared for the move to Montreal, which marks a fresh start for Laine, who has faced challenges with injuries and mental health, including time spent in the NHL/NHLPA Players Assistance Program last season. The couple recently launched their new initiative called “From Us To You” to promote mental health and help others facing similar challenges.
“We are so excited to finally be able to share what we have been working on. This project is close to our hearts, and we hope that by creating From Us to You, we can open up a safe space for discussion, support, resources, and growth together,” announced the couple on August 12, just days before Laine was traded.
With the 2024-25 season around the corner, we will all get to see which version of Laine will get. His most productive stretch came in 2017-18 with the Winnipeg Jets, where he notched 44 goals and 70 points in his second NHL season.
