Sharks can't find goalie Jones in Vegas arena after humiliating loss...

This is not a joke...

We had the example of a great goalie last night in the fourth contest of the best-of-seven series between the Vegas Golden Knights and the San Jose Sharks.

Unfortunately for Martin Jones, we are talking Golden Knights star Marc-Andre Fleury here. The veteran netminder ended up stopping all 28 shots from the Sharks in a 5-0 shutout victory to take an important 3-1 lead in the series.

It was all the contrary for Jones, who for the third time in this series was pulled out of the game and replaced by backup goalie Aaron Dell, who started the second period after Vegas took a 2-0 lead after just six shots on net.

The Sharks another humiliating loss and Jones does not seem to be trusted in between the pipes anymore.

The team headed back to their dressing room after the loss and media members looked to speak with Jones to talk with the struggling goaltender. After  investigating around, the media crew waited for head coach Pete DeBoer to show up to his press conference as one of the public relations employee had to fetch him.

DeBoer revealed that Jones was not meeting with reporters because the team could not find him in the arena after the game, per team insider Kevin Kurz of The Athletic.

We can understand if Jones wanted to hide from his poor performance, but we are pretty sure his teammates would have liked for him to face the music. He isn't the only one to blame: let's be honest defensemen Brent Burns and Erik Karlsson have not been themselves in this series. When Alex Tuch found the back of the net last night, it was the 13th time Karlsson was on the ice when the Golden Knights scored.

Yikes.

The stats for Jones aren't fun to read either: he has a 5.34 GAA and a .838 SV% in the playoffs.

Maybe Jones decided to run away from the game a bit and have some fun on the Vegas Strip. We all know Sin City can lift up any spirit!
